Whether you celebrate the season with utter abandon or just hunker down and try to survive Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, a holiday survival guide might be in order. As you might expect, the old codgers have a range of opinions on how to handle the holiday season. In this episode, we explore the challenges of Christmas tree lights that don’t work and buying the perfect gift. We also look at the pleasures of big dinners with family and friends as well as starting an ugly Christmas sweater tradition. Our holiday survival guide provides a few tips on making it through another holiday season.

Love this episode. Had all the “feels” with just a sprinkle of “bah humbug” I really love the holidays and realize more than ever flexibility is the key. Not all the family can get together and Friendsgiving is a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving . Cheers to the mad rush, hustle and bustle of the Christmas season and sipping cocoa by the fire.
Happy holidays from the old codger who sprinkled a dash of “bah humbug”! The vegetarian lasagna is finished, the turkey is in the oven, and the delightful hordes will descend soon. A fun time will be had by all. No bah humbug is allowed today!
Gary I really enjoyed this episode. It warmed my heart. Happy Holidays. Take care and love to you and Bee,
Marcia
Always lots of fun to listen to you guys.
Happy holidays

A joyful Festivus to everyone!
The Festivus backstory as related by Wikipedia is interesting. The concept of a secular holiday celebration without over-the-top commercialization is compelling. We should all enjoy the holidays simply with friends and family.
